Faithful Acting For Justice

Faithful Acting for Justice is an association of persons who act for justice and promote the common good in Madison and the surrounding area, guided by the principles of Catholic social teaching. It was formed in 2008 by persons involved in parish social justice ministries and parish JustFaith programming – including several JustFaith participants from Holy Mother of Consolation.

We emphasize:

  • Prayer that strengthens the faith that grounds our work.
  • Education on issues and the principles that guide us.
  • Action that applies the principles of our faith to building a more just world.
  • Relationships that increase our effectiveness.

Our activities have included educational programs on local justice issues, structured around prayer and featuring speakers knowledgeable on the issues and Catholic teaching, and occasional newsletters and other communications with information on opportunities for social justice education and action.
