Staff Member: Nancy Ciambrone
Formerly the Director of Faith Formation (grades 7-12) from 2003-05 at HMC, Nancy returns in a new role as Director of Faith Formation for the younger grades. She is really excited to work with our younger members. She writes, "They are so enthusiastic about God's love for them and sharing this message with others." A graduate of St. John's University (B.A. in theology/philosophy) and Fordham University (M.A. in Religion and Religious Education) both in NYC, she also taught at a Catholic Academy while doing her graduate studies. Since then she has worked as a DRE in MN and on an Indian reservation in northern Wisconsin before moving to Oregon in 2003. Two little known facts about Nancy are that St. Paul is her favorite saint which runs contrary to popular sentiment and that she has experienced the intervention of her guardian angel on several occasions. When next you see her, feel free to ask her about this. Her motto is: "Let us keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from beginning to end" which she borrowed from the coat of arms of a Trinidadian Archbishop and the Letter to the Hebrews. She believes in the power of prayer and often describes herself as a prayer-moocher. So if you have a spare moment say one for her and the ministry she undertakes!
