Come share your musical and vocal talents with the parish community by serving in the following ministries at our 5:00 pm Saturday Mass, 8:00 am, or 10:15 am Sunday Masses!
Consolation Choir is an SATB choir that practices on Wednesday evenings September through May from 6:30-8:30 pm. This choir prepares music for special liturgies, such as the Christmas Eve, Easter Vigil, and Triduum services. Members from this group typically sing with the Early Birds or Witness on Sunday mornings.
Cantabilewelcomes children in grades 2nd through 8th. Practice takes place on Wednesday nights, 4:30-5:30pm, following faith formation classes. This choir sings at the 10:15 am Mass two times a month, October through April, and on Christmas Eve at the "Children’s Mass".
Resurrection Choiris called upon to represent the community of faith and support the grieving by singing at the Funeral Masses held and Holy Mother of Consolation. The Resurrection choir practices 60 minutes prior to the funeral service. Choir members are contacted via email and a phone tree when needed.
Hand Bell Choiris open to students in grade 5 and up. Hand Bell Choir members practice September through May and will play at one or two Masses a month during that time, in addition to Christmas Eve and the Easter Vigil. Rehearsals take place 90 minutes before Mass.
Witness is a contemporary musical ensemble for singers and musicians of all ages. During the school year, Witness plays for 2-3 Sundays/month. Practice takes place at 9:00 am Sunday mornings, before the 10:15 Mass. This group continues to practice and play for all 10:15 am Masses during the summer months.
The HMC Orchestra is an instrumental ensemble that comes together twice during the year to prepare music for the HMC Christmas Concert and Carol Sing, Christmas Eve, and the Easter Vigil. The group is a combination of community musicians, MS and HS student musicians, and returning college students. Rehearsal schedules are posted at the beginning of the season.

HMC is pleased to offer the Cadenza Award to graduating high school students who are currently involved with the HMC music ministry program. This award recognizes young church musicians who have gone above and beyond to use their musical gifts to benefit the faith community. Musicians and singers who have logged 15 hours or more of music ministry serviced in their senior years are encouraged to submit their application to Mr. Thelen by May 1st to be considered by the application committee.
