GIFT Events for 4K-6th Grade Families
In addition to the class times mentioned above, Growing in Faith Together (GIFT) is a once a month 4K-6th Grade Faith Formation gathering where we are inviting parents to join their kid(s) in 30 minutes of prayer, activities, snacks, community, and fun before or after class, depending on their class day.
These family activities will be at the following times once a month:
We are offering the 7th and 8th grade program on two different nights at two different parishes. Parents can choose the date/time/location that works better for their family.
There will be four components to our 7th and 8th grade Faith Formation sessions:
The 20-minute video lessons will involve an explanation of the week’s topic, related stories, guest speakers’ perspectives, contemporary Christian music, images, Catholic videos, online games, exploration of how the topic relates to our daily lives, and more! I create these videos by pulling a variety of resources together to make them engaging and meaningful for our students. A few days before the session, I will send out an email with a link for parents/youth to access the video and watch it BEFORE our session.
When we gather together on Sundays or Wednesdays, we will begin each session with a fun activity or game. Participants can look forward to dodgeball, human foosball, minute-to-win-it games, fun skits, etc.!
After our opening activity, we will have 15 minutes of guided and individual prayer time to talk with God.
We will end with 30 minutes of small group discussion. Our large group of students will split up into small groups to explore the week’s topic together. Through this discussion, youth will come to understand a particular aspect of our Catholic faith more deeply and explore how they can live it out in their daily lives.

Confirmation
Per the Diocesan guidelines, the sacrament of Confirmation is no longer connected to a specific grade level, and it’s not just a completion of High School Faith Formation. Instead, Confirmation will be offered for candidates who have a desire to be confirmed and an intent to continue on their Catholic faith journey after Confirmation. If your family is looking forward to your 9th grade (or older!) student celebrating Confirmation in the Spring, your teen will come to four sessions that will be held on Sunday evenings from 6:45-8:45pm. These four sessions will only focus on the sacrament of Confirmation. Some of these sessions will be held at St. Ann and some will be held at HMC. Parents/Sponsors will participate in two of the sessions. Confirmation Candidates will also be invited to participate in a retreat and a Rite of Welcome Mass.
If they aren’t ready/wanting to be confirmed this year, they can always wait another year to celebrate Confirmation! We will be offering Confirmation every year for high school students and adults, so they can choose to prepare/receive the sacrament whenever they feel called to celebrate this sacrament.
High School HOPE Nights
Our Confirmation Candidates will be joining other high school students once a month on Sunday evenings from 7-8:30pm for:
These evenings will involve 9-12th grade students and we will be calling them High School HOPE nights! Pastorate 24 teens are encouraged to bring their friends, even if they aren’t Catholic. HOPE nights are free, but we would still like you to register for them, so we can reach out to you/your teens with reminders about these events.
Our Confirmation prep sessions will be held on different nights than our HOPE nights. Some events will be held at St. Ann and some at HMC.
